When I think of careers that wear many hats, nursing is at the top of my list. The roles and functions seem unlimited; caregiver, decision maker, teacher, patient advocate, communicator, manager of care and other responsibilities depending on the patient's needs. Many of my friends and relatives have chosen the nursing field, their dedication and sacrifice are nothing short of amazing and the same goes for the care they provide.    

May 6-12th  is National Nurses Week. I just wanted to take a moment to recognize those hard-working professionals that are dedicated to the safe and effective practices in the healthcare industry. To all of you that work in the field of nursing, thank you and enjoy your week!
