March is National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Colorectal Cancer (cancer of the colon or rectum) is the second leading cause of cancer deaths in the United States among both men and women. There will be an estimated 147,950 new cases of colorectal cancer in 2020. One in twenty people will be diagnosed with colorectal cancer. One in three people are not up-to-date with colorectal cancer screening according to Maimonides Medical Center.
