This week is Central Service Week and I would like to take the time during this week's issue to thank all of the processing professionals for their dedication and efforts to make the healthcare industry a better and safer place.
Over the past few weeks, we have been going through our annual CS Week contest submissions, selecting our winners for the Pink Power Packages. Even though we can only select a limited number of winners, we would like to thank everyone for participating.
Patient safety in healthcare facilities begins in these departments. Cleaning, disinfection/sterilization, and verification processes are very demanding, especially with the increasing volume of procedures performed.
