The KiiP Movement: Collaboration Leads to Understanding and Innovation
in Packaging Sterilization Track
Sunday, June 5th 4:15 PM - 5:15 PM
Presenters: Ralph Basile, MBA, Healthmark Industries Company, Inc.; Jennifer Benkolken, Dupont Healthcare Packaging; David Jagrosse, CRCST, CHL, David Jagrosse, LLC
Overview: Packaging for medical devices plays a critical role in the delivery of sterile, safe and ready to use products to the patient. The Kilmer innovations in Packaging (KiiP) Movement grew out of the 2019 Kilmer Conference and the mission of collaborating to innovate. KiiP is made up of members who represent the key stakeholder groups from the sterile packaging value chain. KiiP has launched several projects that have the objective of improving packaging through innovation and communication. The presenters will share what has been accomplished thus far and what is expected to be achieved in the future.

Also, our own Director of Clinical Affairs, Mary Ann Drosnock, received the Standards Developer Award for 2022 along with Sue Klacik and Carolyn Braithwaite-Nelson. Working Group 84, which Mary Ann was co-chair of, also won the AAMI award for Technical Committee for its development of the new ANSI/AAMI ST91 on Endoscope Processing.
