Sealed with a Kiss

ISSUE NO. 714

I’m not sure how many of you know the story behind X marks the spot. I read somewhere that the X symbol became synonymous with the kiss during the middle ages. People who couldn’t write their names signed in front of a witness with an X. The X was then kissed to show their sincerity.

We all want to make sure our peel pouches are sealed properly and one way to do this is to use a Pouch Seal Integrity Test to check the sealing ability of any heat sealer. This type of testing should be part of your Quality Management System (QMS) for heat sealers and it falls under the Performance Qualification (PQ) phase, ensuring the sealer is actually sealing.

So if you are not testing the sealing ability of your heat sealers right now, click on the coupon below to find a local Healthmark team member who can help you establish a quality process for your peel pouched medical devices. By doing so, you can show your patients your sincerity by ensuring their peel pouches are properly sealed.
