What's in the Package?

ISSUE NO. 741

Most consumers receive products they order online and don’t give a lot of thought about the packaging it comes in. To be honest, I never really did. When I would receive a package, I would always open it, take out the item inside and discard the packaging it came in without a thought of how it was packaged.

That changed when my sister sent me ice cream as a gift one birthday. I wasn’t home to immediately receive the package, but to my surprise it was still still frozen by the time I was able to open it. It was all due to proper insulation and cooling of the packaging.

Some products are fragile, others can be temperature sensitive; all of them require careful planning to ensure a safe delivery. If you ever have a chance to talk to a professional packaging engineer, I guarantee that you will be impressed with the science behind the packaging of products.

Packaging in the medical field requires special attention to how they are handled. Surgical instruments being sterilized demand high quality sterile packaging. That’s why we offer Steriking® products. They are a global leader in hospital sterilization packaging. Steriking® products are the premium choice when reliable quality and efficient performance of the products matters. They develop and produce high quality peel pouches, rolls, bags and other products.

I've learned that success comes in a very prickly package. Whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you.
