Utilizing Latest Technology during the Visual Inspection Process

ISSUE NO. 744

I recently purchased a new TV for my home. I’m the type of person that uses items through the entire product lifespan before replacing it with a new item. It's been quite some time since I bought my last TV, of course the newest technology and picture quality dramatically improved. It's amazing how much picture quality improves each year!

The newest visual experience isn’t limited to everyday consumers, but also products that are used in the Sterile Processing Department. Seeing is believing when inspecting the interior of a cannulated item.  Visual inspection is a crucial step to ensure surgical instruments and equipment are being properly reprocessed. Inspecting from the naked eye or with an outdated tool can be incredibly difficult and in many cases quite impossible.

Advanced inspection scope cameras come equipped with USB compatible software that integrates directly with your PC. Now the internal conditions of lumened devices can be documented for record keeping. Having this kind of documentation makes department reporting more organized and efficient.

Using high quality imaging cameras and advanced software to inspect hard to see lumened devices are the key to ensuring your department is delivering safe devices for use on the next patient.
