Now that many of the national conferences are in full swing, many
Sterile Processing Department Managers realize challenges they face on a daily basis. What are the new and innovative products that will provide solutions for my department? How do I provide continuing education for my staff? How do I budget for everything
I need? One of the most important line items, and often overlooked, is funding for training and continuing education.
Our innovative and unique frequent purchaser program called "Sterile
Processing Dollars (SPDs)" has been developed with these issues in mind. Your institution will earn SPD points with every purchase of a qualifying Healthmark product for your Sterile Processing Department (Central Supply, Central Service, Sterile Supply).
These points can then be used to purchase educational materials for you and your staff. Healthmark has teamed up with HSPA, CBSPD, AAMI, and Envision to provide the most comprehensive educational materials and programs available for Sterile Processing/Central
Supply Professionals. Materials available include textbooks, workbooks, manuals, guides, videos and more!
You can also use your SPDs to cover the cost of registration for conferences
(you or your organization will only need to pay for travel, room and board expenses). If you can't make a national conference, use your SPDs on registration for a local HSPA or CBSPD meeting. Check with your local group to see if they are a participating partner
in the SPD program.
