Soon enough, temperatures will be rising and it will be time to start
working on outdoor projects around the house here in Michigan. I’ve learned over the years that it’s better to plan and prioritize tasks in order to efficiently complete them during the spring and summer months. After a long winter, finding certain tools can
be a challenge. Rather than having everything that I need in one location, I tend to leave tools in multiple locations like the garage, basement, utility room, junk drawer, etc.
I decided to get ahead of this issue this year and started organizing
my tools and labeling certain storage containers. By doing this, I’m optimistic that my time spent on projects will be significantly reduced by not having to constantly search for or replace tools.
In the fast-paced world of Sterile Processing, time is of the essence.
Misplaced or mislabeled trays can cause many issues when locating certain assets. Using color coding and labels helps keep instrument sets and equipment from being lost. They are also useful for keeping track of multi-layer loaner sets.
Stay on track by communicating important information to your staff and
other departments with labels and other signage.
